Experience
I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and with another in Secondary English from Shepherd University. I have also achieved a master's degree in communication from West Virginia University. For over twenty-five years I have taught intermediate school, along with English in high school. I was nominated and reached final contender for Teacher of the Year in two different U.S. states. In the college arena, I have been introducing students to communications and speaking in public for over five years. English, grammar related studies, and literary works are the studies I like to teach, but I also can tutor in a number of other courses. I round out my teachings with preparing students for the ACT and SAT exams. My time frame for tutoring is adjustable so I can work around class schedules. My students have told me they think I'm a fun, exuberant, and energetic tutor.I live in Nottingham, Maryland, and I like to read, walk, and watch all kinds of sports when I have free time. I am available to tutor reading, writing, literature, essay writing/editing, grammar/mechanics, and AP English Language and Composition.
