I have a B.A in Classic and Ancient Mediterranean Studies from The Pennsylvania State University Main Campus. Upon graduating from Penn State my cumulative GPA was 3.0. I am currently enrolled in the Jewish Studies Masters program at Towson University. After my first semester here my GPA is now at a 3.4.
Experience
For the past five summers I have been employed at the Penn State Altoona in their Kids College Program. I was a counselor at a sports camp for the first four years while also acting as a teaching assistant. The last year I taught classes entitled "Excavating Ancient Egypt" and "Around the World". I want to be a tutor because I want to erase a students frustration with certain school topics. I also want each student to know that given the right tools they can learn anything they put their minds too. I want to help students achieve those grades they may need to attend the University or College of their dreams. I also am aiming to become a professor after I obtain my Masters Degree and this will be wonderful experience. I have travelled to Egypt, London, and Paris and am currently working on raising money to get to Israel. I believe that my travel experience was beneficial to my education in the Classics program.
