Learning styles are as unique as the students who possess them. I believe that my job as a tutor is to find that style and lead a student to success with it. I am competent at helping students to understand the material we are covering and to become comfortable enough to utilize it on their own. I find that I enjoy the one-to-one ratio of a tutoring session because, unlike the classroom, I am able to provide individual instruction to my students in a way that is best for them, rather than the majority of the class. I hold a master's degree in Geochemistry, with an emphasis in Biogeochemical Oceanography that I received from the University of California at Los Angeles. My undergrad work was completed at Gwynedd Mercy University in Biology, and a double minor in English and Chemistry. I tutor several courses in the sciences, as well as, Statistics. My passion lies in tutoring Biology and Biochemistry. I have several years of experience in tutoring. I spent the last three years of my undergrad tutoring both Math and Science. I then held a position as a teacher's assistant in Earth Science and Climate during my grad school years. Outside of work, I like to rock climb, sail, scuba dive, hike, and horseback ride.
