I am mainly focused in research and development founded in field experience in order to best combine academic/theoretical knowledge with direct application.

Experience

Some History: I have been tutoring since 2007, initially beginning at UMD. Being realistic..Physics is NOT always "Phun", but Phrickin Hard haha. My most recent and current positions applying such are: • Teaching Assistant for General Physics • Adjunct Lecturer for Light and Color Physics • CBRN Officer in the US Army On a more serious note, I initially struggled mastering concepts of mathematics and physics for a time. Things became much easier once I realized my own learning style, and was able to foster it. Learning how and/or certain concepts are applied made learning much easier versus simply doing the work because it was assigned. Learning Styles: Whether a visual learner, geometrically minded, conceptual, or equation based, supporting that strength is the focus since there are multiple perspectives and techniques that work in this field. Plus, it will help you understand the grander scheme regardless. I personally tend to use algebra with geometric and trigonometric ideas but also apply them with calculus, differential equations, and linear algebra if needed. The idea to keep it simple and able to actually use the information for own (i.e. predicting gas mileage, income, or engineering). Ultimate Goal: Professoriate. My personal strength lies in experience via application, shared knowledge, and practice. Furthermore, I learn so much more when I teach so this is always a two-way learning experience. Encourage this in others; doing what we love and finding the most relevance in what we have to do to achieve that main goal. Availability: Due to my schedule and nature of work, I can be very flexible. Feel free to let me know what works best for you and we can make a plan!
