Mallory W.
Private tutor in Towson, MD
Education
I am a Senior Elementary Education major at Towson University, currently with a 3.126 gpa.
Experience
I have always volunteered at schools since I was in the 6th grade. My hands on tutoring experience has been volunteering with Higher Achievement Baltimore program, as a study aid for a semester. I also have a little sister at home, that I help with her homework, who is now a 10th grader. My SAT scores were a 1740. I want to be a tutor because I understand that some students may need a little bit of help outside of the classroom understanding things. I have the opportunity to help someone comprehend their schoolwork a little easier also because I am only 21. In high school, I took all honors and AP maths. In college, I have taken courses about child development, writing, the principles of reading and assessment.

Hobbies
I like to do many things. I am very social and enjoy doing things in the community. I co-founded the Towson University Section of the National Council of Negro Women Incorporated last semester with a friend, and sing with Towson's gospel choir. I am also a Presidential Ambassador. I am also very involved with my denomination, the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, where I serve as the Corresponding Secretary for the Executive Cabinet of the Varick International Christian Youth Council 2010-2014. Outside of these leadership positions, you will always find me listening to music, and at every event on campus!
